Which 3D print materials can I colour using the Quill Vogue Colouring System?

The majority of 3D printed plastics can be coloured. These include Polyjet, Projet, MJF, SLS, FDM and polypropylene

Can the Quill Vogue Colouring System colour polypropylene?

Yes, it can colour polypropylene

How long will it take to colour my 3D prints?

The majority of 3D printed plastics such as MJF, Polyjet, Projet FDM and SLS can be coloured in less than 10 minutes. Polypropylene can be coloured in 1 – 2 hours

How much Quill Vogue Colouring Solution should I use?

We recommend 20 litres of Quill Vogue Colouring Solution with 30 litres of clean fresh water

What temperature should I use?

The majority of plastics can be coloured in less than 10 minutes at between 40 and 80 degrees depending on the materials temperature threshold. Polypropylene parts require 1 – 2 hours at 90 degrees.

Can I use the Quill Vogue Colouring Solution to colour multiple batches of parts?

Yes, multiple batches of 3D prints, including even the most complex geometries, can be coloured efficiently and cost effectively together in minutes.

Can I use the Quill Vogue Colouring Solution repeatedly?

Yes, you can use the Quill Vogue Colouring Solution repeatedly, if a drop in performance is seen, add more Quill Vogue Colouring Solution to the tank

Do I have to use the Quill Vogue Colouring Solution with the Quill Vogue Hot Soak Box?

No you don’t have to, but we strongly recommend that you do. As it is a combination of heat and powerful agitation produced by the Quill Vogue Hot Soak Box along with the complex blend of industrial strength Quill Vogue Colouring Solution that rapidly produces colour fast 3D prints.

Will the process distort my 3D prints?

As long as you stay within the 3D prints material temperature threshold you will not distort the 3D print during this process

How often do I need to replace the Quill Vogue Colouring Solution?

This depends on how often you use it and variables such as the quantity, material type and surface area of the 3D prints along with the temperature used etc. If a drop in performance is seen, add more Quill Vogue Colouring Solution to the tank. As a guide it is recommended that the Quill Vogue Colouring Solution is replaced monthly depending on usage. The used Quill Vogue Colouring Solution should be pumped from the Hot Soak Box direct to a container. Local Consent to Discharge may be required for commercial disposal. Please dispose of waste water responsibly and in compliance with local government guidelines.
